Arbitration and Mediation

We regularly represent our clients in the increasingly popular alternative dispute resolution proceedings of binding arbitration and non-binding mediation. Our attorneys are experienced in a variety of mediation formats and in binding arbitrations. In some circumstnces, our clients prefer these alternative dispute resolution procedures to litigation in the courts, as a more informal, less costly, and often more expeditious way to resolve disputes, and some contracts require them.

One of our partners, Christopher Donnelly, serves regularly as an arbitrator in cases administered by the American Arbitration Association. Another serves on the Massachusetts Bar Association's panel of arbitrators resolving fee disputes between attorneys and their clients.
