Employment Litigation and CounselingOur Commitment. Employment-related litigation, investigations and counseling have been mainstays of DCG’s practice since its inception. We routinely appear in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and MCAD and EEOC proceedings; conduct independent investigations of alleged sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, and other employee wrongdoing; negotiate the engagement and termination of highly compensated employees; and counsel our clients on non-competition agreements, employee handbooks, compliance with state and federal employment laws, and many other workplace issues. Our Team. Our Employment Litigation and Counseling team has wide experience in a broad range of employment matters, including negotiation, arbitration, and litigation of employment and severance agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and sexual harassment and discrimination claims. Our Clients. We regularly represent both companies and individuals in employment disputes. Our employment law and litigation clients have included a wide variety of corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including many engaged in the financial industry, the computer software and hardware industries, and many other sectors, including high technology, healthcare, design, franchising, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and publishing. Our Work. With respect to corporate clients, we assess issues, problems, and challenges promptly, recommend effective remedial action when the facts demand it, and represent our clients aggressively and efficiently when their workplace disputes must be litigated. In conducting internal investigations of alleged wrongdoing, our experience and expertise permit us to accomplish that sensitive work discretely, efficiently, and effectively, with due regard for the rights of the accused, the accuser, and the employer. When we represent individual clients, we protect their rights zealously in contract negotiations, termination agreements, investigations, and litigation and pride ourselves on our personal, responsive attention to their needs and concerns. Representative examples of our employment work include the following. |
